Good news
Scan went well and all looks good with Thing 3. Obviously I am very relieved but still worried. There is no explanation for the bleeding and the actual point of the scan was to screen for problems and there is still the possibility of this baby having one of those problems. It would be so much easier if I could just go back to being naive and blindly hopeful.

Such great news Cara. I know all it means is that all's well right now, but I hope and pray that everything stays OK for you.
They never found any reason for my bleeding either (never looked very hard to be fair). It was terrifying but as you know it ended well... so hoping for the same for you.

Oh I am so glad it went well today. Yes, there is still a chance of problems, but the fact that everything looks good right now is HUGE.
I know people who bled for no known reason in the first trimester and their babies are now home, safe and sound.
So happy to hear all is well. Keep growing, little one.

Wonderful news about the scan. I bled at 8 weeks from SCH.
LOVE the Thing 3 reference, I may end up stealing it if I get pregnant with Thing 4 :))))
